Gigi Rose Rock Universe, isn't just a rock tribute band; it's a mission to prove rock never died! It was founded in 2024 in Los Angeles, CA by the charismatic and passionate about rock, Gigi Rose. Gigi Rose, is a singer/songwriter with a lifelong love for rock. She grew up performing in a variety of genres from Regional Mexicano, to Tropical, Hip-Hop, R&B etc, but found a special connection with songs of legendary Rock Queen Alejandra Guzman and bands like Soda Stereo, Caifanes, Enanitos Verdes, Queen, and Guns N' Roses to mention a few. For her, these weren’t just songs; they were anthems of freedom, rebellion, and raw emotion. Over time, she noticed the growing misconception that rock music had lost its edge, that it was fading away. Gigi wasn’t having any of it. For her, rock never died, it’s just waiting for the right moment to step into the spotlight. Sure, some of the greats stopped making music, and some bands dissolved, but the pulse of rock has always been there, beating strongly in every true rock lover.
Determined to prove that Rock was never really music from the past, Gigi, who has been performing for years, wanted to create a Rock Tribute Band that not only paid tribute to these legendary acts but also brought a fresh perspective, particularly with a female lead. She sought to create a band that could not only honor the classics but also reignite the passion and spirit that once filled stadiums and radio airwaves.
For Gigi, Rock isn't just a genre; it's a passion, a fire that she's determined to help keep burning bright. Assembling talented musicians who share her unwavering belief in the power of rock, Rock Universe was born. Joining Gigi are Alejandro Blanco (guitar) from Venezuela, Daniele De Cario (bass) from Italy, and Diego Ruvalcaba (drums) from Mexico, three incredibly talented and experienced musicians who have shared major stages alongside music legends such as Alejandra Guzmán, Joan Sebastián, and many more!
For Gigi and her bandmates, the message is clear: Rock is not dead. It’s evolving. It’s transforming. And it’s here to stay! With their diversity, together they breathe new life into iconic tracks like, “De Música Ligera”, “Afuera”, “Lamento Boliviano”, "Oye Mi Amor", Sweet Child O' Mine", and"Hold The Line" creating a sound that respects the classics while embracing the future of rock as they deliver explosive performances!

Gilda Garcia Aguilar birth name of Gigi Rose, was born in Michoacan, Mexico and raised in Atlanta, GA. Having the best of both worlds she is a mixture of genres and sounds creating her own unique style. Gigi grew up singing on stages with her family band alongside with her parents’ since the age of only 4 years old. Later in her teens, she took over the band and has shared stages with some of the Regional Mexicano Legends and other Latin Music Legends like, La Quinta Estacion, Los Tigres del Norte, Los Yonics, Los Huracanes del Norte just to mention a few. Gigi is a very versatile singer that loves performing in diverse languages and many genres but found her passion in Rock Music. Since a very young age she was drawn to the sound of electric guitars and heartfelt rock songs.
Gigi’s journey into the world of rock began when she was a little girl when she was introduced for the first time to Rock Urbano by her father through Rock Bands like Three Souls (Now soloist El Tri) and Alejandra Guzman by her mother. By the time she was a teenager, she was already captivated by the sounds of more Latin rock icons like Caifanes, Soda Stereo, Héroes del Silencio, and Enanitos Verdes, as well as American bands such as Guns N' Roses, Journey, and Evanescence. She was also influenced by British legends like Queen and Led Zeppelin just to mention a few. As the years passed, her love for Rock deepened, and she realized she wasn’t just drawn to the music; she was “called” to it.
Gigi’s love for rock shines through in every note she sings. She infuses her vocals with the same fire and sentiment that defined the greats. With her voice; a powerful blend of rock grit and soul, she brings an emotional intensity to every performance, whether she’s belting out the anthem “De Música Ligera” or passionately interpreting the haunting “La Celula Que Explota" or "The Show Must Go On". With her powerful, emotive voice and infectious stage presence, Gigi leads the band with a raw passion that’s impossible to ignore.
In Gigi’s words “ I believe Rock music itself never truly died; it just went through phases of less visibility as some of the iconic bands from past decades slowed down or dissolved. I believe it’s more that the industry shifted, trends changed, and other genres took over the spotlight, but the heart of rock, its energy and rebellion, has always remained. You can see it when you hear a DJ play a Rock anthem at a club and the people start singing at the top of their lungs and dancing like there's no tomorrow! Rock lives! And I’m a firm believer that it will make its comeback through bands from before and now that refuse to let it fade; and I’m all in for it! It’s going to be quite a ride!”
